Summary

Create and manage multiple profiles in Accoil to score and analyze different types of users — all with their own engagement behaviors

How this helps

Allows for a more nuanced engagement analysis, ensuring different user segments receive tailored scoring models.

What’s a Profile?

A profile in Accoil is a scoring model designed for a specific group of users. It defines how engagement is measured — based on the events, weights, and filters you set.
Think of it as a custom lens: one profile might measure trial users based on setup activity, while another might focus on power usage among paying customers.

Why create multiple profiles?

Engagement looks different for different types of users. Not all users should be measured by the same criteria. With multiple profiles, you can:

  • Create one score for trial users and another for paid users.

  • Set up different scores for onboarding users vs. mature users.

  • Differentiate scores for admin users vs. team members.

  • Customize profiles for different teams or departments.

How to create multiple profiles

Creating multiple scoring profiles involves two key steps:

Step 1: Create your profile

This is where you build the scoring model — choose your key events, assign weights, and define how engagement is calculated. Learn how to create a scoring model here.

Step 2: Filter users for the scoring profile

Each profile should focus on a specific group. By default, a profile scores all users — but you can filter to focus it.

  • Click Filter to narrow down who the profile applies to.

  • Use conditions like user traits, roles, status, or behaviors.

  • For example, filter by Plan Type = Trial or Role = Admin.

  • Use “Any” to combine multiple criteria.

Once filtered, Accoil will only score users that match — and all analytics for that profile will reflect that specific segment.

You have multiple filters to choose from:

You can also apply to only some users. To create a filter, simple select "Any" and add your filtering criteria.

If you create a filter for a scoring profile, Accoil Analytics will only score those users who meet the scoring criteria and you will only see that subset of your users everywhere you navigate in Accoil Analytics while that scoring profile is selected.

Switching between profiles

Once you’ve created multiple profiles, you can toggle between them anytime.

When you switch, the entire Accoil view updates — showing scores, segments, and dashboards through that profile’s lens.

Multiple profiles give you the flexibility to adapt scoring to different audiences — helping you fine-tune engagement strategies and make smarter, segment-specific decisions.

Tip for new users: Start with one profile to get the hang of scoring before adding more
