Summary

Learn about the various triggers available in Accoil automations, including score changes, new user alerts, and how to add specific filters to refine workflows.

How this helps

Provides flexibility in creating targeted workflows based on engagement data, improving operational responsiveness and efficiency.

How Accoil's Automation triggers work

All Accoil Automations (including Slack Alerts) operate using predefined triggers. A trigger is the condition that starts a workflow.

How to create an automation trigger

Step 1: Access the Automations tab

  • Navigate to the Automations Tab and click Create Automation.

Step 2: Name your rule and select a profile

  • Give your rule a clear name.

  • Choose the profile that will apply to the automation.

Step 3: Configure your trigger
Choose from five available trigger types:

  • Score Changes – Trigger alerts when a user or account's Accoil score changes by a defined amount. Useful for tracking risks or upsell opportunities.

  • New Users – Get notified when a new account is created or when a new user joins an existing account.

  • Activation Changes – Trigger alerts when a user or account's activation rate increases beyond a set threshold. Ideal for helping sales teams engage active trial users.

  • Entering a Segment – Get notified when a user or account enters a default or custom segment within your Accoil account.

  • Custom Alerts – Define specific conditions to trigger an alert based on user/account actions or attributes.

Adding a filter to a Trigger

You can make any trigger even more specific by adding a filter.

For example, if you only want to trigger a specific Workflow for accounts above a specific MRR; or from accounts that signed up in the last 30 days; or any other criteria, you can do that by adding a condition to the trigger:
