Feeds in Accoil are fully configurable, role-tailored streams of important product and customer activity. You can create multiple feeds, customize them with cards that surface meaningful signals, and optionally deliver them to Slack.

This page explains how to create, configure, and manage feeds to keep your team aligned and up to date.

🆕 How to Create a Feed

There are two paths to creating a new feed depending on whether any already exist:

🟢 If no feeds exist in the profile:

  • You'll see a “Create Feed” button directly on the page

  • Click it to start creating your first feed

🟡 If feeds already exist:

  1. Click the “Select Feed” button (top right of the feed interface)

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the dropdown

  3. Click “Create New Feed”

Both paths open the Feed Configuration panel, where you can name your feed, add cards, and configure delivery.

🧰 Configuring an Existing Feed

To edit a feed you’ve already created:

  • Click the “Configure Feed” button at the top right of the feed interface

  • This opens the full configuration panel for the currently selected feed

  • From here, you can change:

    • Feed name

    • Slack delivery settings

    • Cards in the feed

🛠️ You can only configure one feed at a time. Make sure the correct feed is selected before clicking “Configure Feed.”

✏️ Feed Basics

1. Feed Name

  • Choose something descriptive (e.g. “Success Risk Watch”, “Product Weekly Summary”)

2. Share Setting

  • Personal Feed: Only visible to you

  • Shared Feed: Can be seen and configured by others in the same profile

  • Note Shared is required to be enabled if you want to deliver the feed to a public Slack channel

🃏 Adding Cards to the Feed

Cards define what signals show up in your feed.

To Add Cards:

  1. Click “+ Add Card”

  2. Browse the Card Catalogue — organized by team (CS, Sales, Product, Marketing)

  3. Choose cards that match the signals you care about

  4. Configure any required settings (e.g. thresholds, segments)

  5. Click Save Configuration

Once added:

  • Cards appear in the right-side Feed Cards list

  • Use “Show details” to review a card’s logic

  • Click ⚙️ to reconfigure or ❌ to remove a card

🧠 Cards are designed with smart defaults but are fully customizable. You can add as many as needed.

📬 Slack Delivery

You can optionally send your feed to a Slack channel on a set schedule.

To Enable:

  1. Toggle Slack Delivery on

  2. Select a public channel

  3. Choose a schedule:

    • Daily at 8:00 AM → Sends cards from yesterday

    • Weekly on Monday at 8:00 AM → Sends cards from last week

Feeds are posted as a headline message, with individual cards threaded underneath — keeping your channels clean and scannable.

🔒 Delivery to a public Slack channel requires the feed to be shared.

This ensures that other team members can view and manage the feed if needed — for example, if it becomes noisy, irrelevant, or the original creator leaves the company.

🧪 Test Delivery

Use Test Delivery to preview how the feed will appear in Slack:

  • Pick the channel

  • Choose Daily or Weekly

  • A sample post is sent immediately to help you validate formatting and content

This is useful before enabling delivery or sharing the feed with a broader team.

💾 Saving Changes

After editing the feed, click Update Feed to save all changes:

  • Cards will be applied immediately

  • Slack delivery will begin on the next scheduled send

  • Historical backfill will run to populate cards with recent data

⚠️ Changes are not saved unless you click Update Feed. Closing the panel will discard any edits.

🗑️ Deleting a Feed

To delete a feed:

  • Open the configuration panel

  • Click Delete Feed

  • Confirm when prompted

🚫 Deleted feeds cannot be recovered.

✅ Recap

  • Create a feed from the Select Feed menu or profile landing page

  • Use Configure Feed to update name, cards, and delivery

  • Add cards to surface signals you care about

  • Deliver to Slack on a regular schedule or test it before rollout

  • Click Update Feed to apply changes and start capturing insights

By setting up and managing feeds in Accoil, you create a personalized briefing layer for your team — ensuring that important shifts in product usage and customer behavior never go unnoticed.
