Summary

Discusses tracking user and account activation in Accoil Analytics by setting criteria, which aids in improving activation rates.

How does it help

Enhances the ability to monitor and optimize the user onboarding process, directly impacting product adoption and success.

Activation measures how far along a user or account is in their journey toward that “aha” moment when they realize how great your product is. It’s a static measurement indicating progress towards achieving first value from your product.

Activation helps your Sales, Customer Success (CS), Product, and Leadership teams understand customer engagement. By identifying how activated each account segment is, teams can optimize strategies for improving product adoption, onboarding processes, and overall customer satisfaction.

In Accoil Analytics, you can track the activation progress of both users and accounts. This enables you to gauge when users comprehend your product and complete specific actions.

How to Set Up Activation in Accoil Analytics

Tracking activation is straightforward. You will need to set your activation criteria to monitor a user or an account's progress. Activation criteria define what it means for a user or account to be activated. These criteria can include specific actions like integrating data, creating a report, or connecting a device, as well as possessing certain traits.

Step 1: To get started, select your preferred score profile.

Step 2: Go to the "Configuration" tab on the left sidebar and select either "Account Activation" or "User Activation."

Step 3: Define your activation criteria for your users and accounts. Add a condition to specify the actions or traits that signify substantial user engagement and value achievement. This will help you monitor the progress of users and accounts effectively.

Select the filter type that best matches the insights you seek. These filters will enable you to segment, customize, and focus on the Activation details for any specific group of customers.

Once the activation criteria is defined, Accoil Analytics will start tracking the Activation Rate for your users and/or accounts.

What is an Activation Rate?

Activation Rate describes an user/account's progress toward Activation. It is always displayed as a percentage. For example, if your activation criteria has 4 steps and an account has met 3 of them, then its Activation Rate will be 75%. A user and/or account with an Activation Rate of 100% is considered "Activated".

Viewing Activation Data

There are a number of ways to gain activation insights.

At the Global Level:

Under the "Views" tab, select the "Activation" tab to explore your activation rates.

There are multiple ways to analyze the information including:

1. Bar Graph:

  • Shows how many users or accounts have reached different levels of Activation.

  • Helps identify where users are getting stuck and which groups need more attention.

2. Condition Breakdown:

  • Provides the percentage of your customer base passing each activation step.

  • Identifies steps where users may be struggling, allowing teams to take targeted actions.

3. User and Account List:

  • Displays Activation Rates and Engagement Scores for each user and account.

  • Helps teams identify which customers are succeeding or need additional support.

4. Filter for greater insights:

At the top of the Activation page, you can apply additional filters. You can also select different "Activation Condition Rules" to temporarily exclude specific event rules from the data analysis.

NOTE: To make changes to your Activation conditions rules, you will need to amend "Account activation" under the "Configuration" tab on the left hand navigation bar. Changes cannot be made on this page.
