đŸ§© Overview

The Attio integration allows you to sync engagement traits from Accoil directly into your Attio workspace—so your CRM always reflects up-to-date product behavior.

By connecting Accoil to Attio, you can:

  • Sync key user and account traits from Accoil into any object in Attio

  • Define matching logic using traits from Accoil and properties in Attio

Accoil’s Attio integration supports DataSync only—there is no widget or automation at this time.

What you can do with Attio

📊 Sync Traits from Accoil to Attio

Accoil sends product usage and engagement traits to Attio for both users and groups.

You can:

  • Enable or disable syncing for each profile

  • Choose to sync:

    • Segment names only, or

    • All traits, including engagement score, activation rate, adoption, and more

These traits can be used in Attio for:

  • Custom workflows

  • Relationship tracking

  • Intelligent filtering and segmentation

🧠 Trait Naming Convention

Traits in Attio follow the same naming convention as used in Intercom and HubSpot:

Accoil_[ProfileName]_[TraitName]
  • All spaces are removed from the profile name

  • Trait names are appended directly

Example: Accoil_TrialUsers_ActivationRate

These traits will appear as properties on the Attio objects you've configured for syncing.

Admin Setup & Configuration

⚙ How to Connect Accoil to Attio

Connecting to Attio is quick and secure via OAuth:

  1. In Accoil, go to Settings > Connections

  2. Find Attio and click Connect

  3. Approve the connection via the OAuth flow

  4. Once connected, you’ll be able to configure object mapping and trait syncing

✅ No additional setup required—once connected, syncing will begin for enabled profiles.

🔗 Object Mapping & Matching Configuration

Accoil’s Attio integration gives you full control over how users and groups are matched and where their traits are sent in your Attio workspace.

đŸ§© Object Mapping

For each entity type—users and groups—you can choose which Attio object the data should be synced to. This is useful if you’ve customized your Attio workspace with different object types.

  • User Object Mapping:
Map Accoil users to any compatible object in Attio, such as People, Users, or any custom user-type object.

  • Group Object Mapping:
Map Accoil groups (accounts) to Attio objects like Companies, Workspaces, or other custom account-type objects.

🎯 Trait Matching

Once you’ve selected the objects, you can define how Accoil should match records in Attio by configuring trait-to-property mappings.

For each entity:

  • Choose the Accoil trait (e.g. email, name, tracking_id)

  • Select the corresponding Attio property to match against (e.g. Email addresses, Name, or any searchable property)

This configuration determines how Accoil finds the right record in Attio to sync traits to.

🔍 The selected Attio property must be marked as unique and searchable in Attio in order to be used for matching.

🔄 Sync Behavior & Cleanup

  • Matching is performed each time traits are synced (typically every 6–24 hours)

  • If you update the mapping, Accoil will apply the new configuration on the next sync

  • If you disable syncing for a profile or reconfigure it, Accoil will automatically remove previously synced traits from the associated Attio objects—keeping your workspace clean and accurate
